Green Mountain WoodCarvers

August Exhibit / Sale

2024 will mark the 51st year the Green Mountain Wood Carvers have organized our Annual August events.

For 40+ years, our Annual August Show had been held in Morrisville Vermont. In 2015 we moved to Downtown Waterbury Vermont. After 50 years, facing increased fees and paperwork, we have decided to move our 51st Show to the Birds of Vermont Museum. Being an outdoor event, August weather has always cooperated. The exhibit is the second in a series of woodcarving events planned each August. We begin the week with our Annual 3 day class held at the Museum in the middle of the week, then culminated the week of activities with our Exhibit and Sale on Saturday. This creates a 4 day "Festival of Wood Carving" at the Museum.

Members exhibiting in the show often come from all over new England, and cover many aspects of wood carving, from caricature carving to wildfowl, birds to Scandinavian flat plane carvings. The Show also has space for vendors, and other artisans working with wood products. Other wood carving clubs are often represented including the New England Woodcarvers and Maine Woodcarvers.

We hope you will join us the 3rd Saturday in August at The Birds of Vermont Museum in Huntington, VT.
