Whether you are an experienced woodcarver or just interested in learning
to carve, if you enjoy transforming a block of wood into a piece of art,
we would like to invite you to become a member of the Green Mountain Woodcarvers.
We meet monthly Carve-Ins held at various members' homes all over Vermont,
to carve, talk, eat and of course carve. We are a great group of people
who love to help each other and are always willing to assist when any of
us are stuck and need a push in the right direction. Whether you are a beginner
or accomplished carver, all are welcome. Our members' specialties range
from caricatures, birds, and chip carving, to gargoyles and relief carving.
One of the advantages of membership and participation in the Carve-ins is
sharing and learning from other members.
In addition to our monthly carve-ins, we have an annual show and exhibit
held in Morrisville, Vermont in August. Prior to the Show, we offer a three-day
carving class with an accomplished teacher. We are always looking for volunteers
to help with the show and banquet.
Our bi-monthly newsletter, "News & Notes" keeps you up to
date on upcoming events and reports on carve-ins and meetings.
Annual membership is only $10.
